What is the best program for weight loss and muscle development?
I want to lose weight and build muscle. Should I focus more on cardio; or is a balanced regimen the best course of action? I know that diet is the most important part, but is there a more specific program?

if you REALLY WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT AND FAT then you should remember and do this:
EVERYDAY RUN ( FAST WALK) + L-Carnitine + TAKE LESS CALORIES + LIPO-6 = 100% SUCCESS
1) if you dint have then buy scales!!! that is the first thing to do!!

The best way to lose weight and build muscle is to do full body weight bearing workouts. Do fitness exercises that work the largest muscles of your body because they burn the most calories. Things such as deadlifts, squats, lunges etc – when done correctly you will burn a whole lot more calories than any kind of cardio. The more calories you burn the more weight you lose.
Also when you do exercises with weights you continue to burn calories for up to 48 hours after you completed the exercise, where as cardio you only burn it while you are doing it – if that makes sense.
Yes diet is the most important part and having a good workout program as well will get you results.
Always remember that muscle weights more than fat. The best way to judge body fat loss is the fitting of your clothes. If they are loose you are losing weight. Many people live by scales (weighing themselves on scales) but these can be very inaccurate. You may weigh the same as last week – or even more – however your clothes are much looser – it proves you have lost body fat.
